MEET Our Udderly Ridiculous Family
Greg and Cheryl Haskett launched Udderly Ridiculous Goat Milk Ice Cream in spring 2019, inspired by the goats on their 200-acre, third-generation family farm in Oxford County, Ontario. Udderly Ridiculous Goat Milk Ice Cream is available in six sophisticated flavours at a growing number of retailers in Ontario.
It all began in 2015 while writing a business plan to expand and modernize our 3rd generation family farm. As the plan unfolded a larger vision emerged. How could the farm become more than a primary producer of raw ingredients? How could we give back to our community?
Since Greg had always wanted to have a product from the farm, and Cheryl loved to cook discussions began – lots of people were venturing into cheese-making with the popularity of goat cheeses, and of course there were the soaps – however, I really wanted to bring something different, fun and something very few people were doing – Goat Milk Ice Cream.
The long term vision being to build our own (Ben and Jerry’s inspired) manufacturing plant that invites consumers into the process to learn about ice cream and goats with the intent on education and fun… and of course ice cream tastings. The idea was added into the plan as part of the long term strategy, but at that point neither of us knew how that would be possible or what the timing might be. Follow our story

We believe in high-quality ingredients, in building relationships with suppliers and in honouring the labour of love that goes into every part of this process. Which is why we’re also learning that it takes a community to create ice cream this good. Making ice cream this way is definitely more work but we believe it’s well worth the effort!
meet The Team
Cheryl Haskett
Cheryl is reluctantly the “Udderly” in Udderly Ridiculous. Cheryl is the CIO – “Chief Ice Cream Officer” at Udderly Ridiculous and takes this role very seriously (in spite of the name!)
Cheryl’s life experience comes from being a mom and a leadership facilitator, along with having a background in sales, customer service and tourism. Cheryl’s real passion however, is feeding people. Cheryl doesn’t just love to cook – she cook’s to love – and is never happier than when someone thoroughly enjoys what she has created.
Greg Haskett
Greg is the self-proclaimed “Ridiculous” in Udderly Ridiculous.
Greg is best described as a loving father, a 3rd generation farmer, a University of Guelph alumnus, an avid traveler, life-long learner and at times a mischievous trouble-maker.
Greg’s dream has long been to bring products to market using fresh-from-the-farm ingredients while supporting agriculture ventures at home and abroad.
We honour the idea that each person we interact with is a partner. This means our team members, our suppliers, our vendors, retailers and especially our customers. With this mindset of honouring our partnerships, we work to make each other better.
We are open to new ideas and insights, products and flavours. We strive to operate out of integrity, inclusiveness and respect. A few of the fabulous partners (and friends!) we’ve made along the way are listed here. As we expand our reach & our product line, we look forward to adding to this list.
